    The web is not the internet!
    Tim burners lee was the creator of the w.w.w.
    What did I find interesting?
    The web is the fastest growing communication device in the world!!

    What did I find surprising?
    The web that we see today is just the tip of the web iceberg.
    the web has become a prosthetic memory for the world.

  2. I already knew:
    a) The World Wide Web is NOT the Internet

    I found it interesting that:
    a) WWW is the longest known running acronym
    b) httpS:// does not always mean that the site is secure
    c) There are approx. 2.3 BIllion webpages
    d) The Internet has huge environmental impact.

    Finally I found it surprising that:
    a) Even Tim Burners Lee thought of his own invent as vague
    b) Nobody owns the Internet.

    The web was the first really big surprise and it came from an individual,
    Tim Berners-Lee (with a small group of helpers)

    What did you find most interesting?
    - The web is not the internet
    The Internet is not Just the web
    The web is important, but it's only one of the things that runs on the net.

    What did you find surprising?
    Is the web making us stupid?
    Nick Carr are convincing us that it is. He thinks that fewer people engage in contemplative activities because the web distracts them so much.

    - I found 15 (The importance of killer apps) interesting.
    3.What did you find surprising?
    - I found 19(We thought that https protocol would makes the we secure. We were wrong) Surprising.

    I Actually didn't know any of that stuff that i just read! It was good to know some of this stuff, as it may come handy in the past!
    What did you find most interesting?
    I found it interesting that it takes longer to say www then World Wide Web! That is so interesting!
    What did you find surprising?
    I found it surprising that the web has an impact on the environment! I didnt know that they had server farms and that it used up natural resources!

    2. I found most of these facts very interesting actually. This has taught me heaps about the world wide web.

    -I already knew that the world wide web is not the internet. The world wide web is something that runs and functions on the internet.

    -I found interesting that writers like Nick Carr believes the web is making us stupid.

    What did you find surprising?
    -I didn't know that they use to think the https protocol would make the web secure.

    What did you already know?
    I new that the web is not the internet, I know that most www sites are cooperations and that the web is the fastest growing communication type.
    What did you find most interesting?
    I found most interesting that the web impacts the environment massively and is very bad for it.
    What did you find surprising?
    I found surprising that the web has a impact on the environment, who new that using the internet was using an extreme amount of electricity and was bad for the environment.

    I already knew that the WWW is not the internet and that WWW is linguistically unique which means that the acronym is harder to say then the actual words.
    What did you find most interesting?
    I find that the internet is apparently making us stupid and that people are now starting to stop remembering most things because the know that they can just google it.
    What did you find surprising?
    That no one owns the internet and that the web we use today is just the begining or the whole web idea.

    - The Internet has a huge impact on the environment
    - The web would me much more useful if web-pages were made to be machine readable
    - WWW is unique

    What I found surprising:
    - The internet is not owned by anyone
    - HTTPS does not always mean that a website is secure
    - There is more than 2.3 billion web-pages
